Jay-Z recently shed light on the origin of the well-known Roc Nation diamond hand sign. During an interview with Gayle King on CBS Mornings, Jay-Z revealed that the symbol was influenced by a group he was associated with called Christión.

“When we first started, we had this group called Christión,” Jay-Z explained. “When you sell 10 million, you go diamond. We believed in them so much that we thought, ‘This group is going to sell 10 million records!’ So we started using the diamond gesture to represent Christión. That’s how it all started. Then we began incorporating it into our shows, and soon, the entire crowd started doing it.”

Despite the symbol’s popularity, it has previously fueled some conspiracy theories linking Jay-Z to the secret society Illuminati. However, these rumors are completely baseless.
