Barbara the band, a pop duo with a 70s vibe from Brighton, is excited to share the tour dates for their upcoming tour promoting their second EP called “Happy Days!”.
Made up of brothers Henry and John Tydeman, Barbara has captured audiences of all ages with their unique mix of influences and clever lyrics. They are currently on tour with Paul Weller in the UK, and “Happy Days” will be released on May 22nd.
The newly announced tour dates are scheduled for November 2024:

Following the success of their first EP and their well-received live shows supporting Neil Hannon and Divine Comedy, Barbara is set to deliver a new set of tracks that reflect the changing dynamics of 2024. Their EP “Happy Days!” is filled with classic pop tunes infused with smart and thought-provoking lyrics that challenge societal divisions often portrayed by the media. Drawing inspiration from Glam Pop and Broadway, the band explores themes like leadership, modernity versus tradition, and the importance of standing by your values regardless of your age.
With their British flair and influence from literary figures like Harold Pinter, George Orwell, and Ray Davies, Barbara offers a unique musical experience that appeals to audiences of all ages. Their song ‘Grandad’, set to release on May 22nd, delves into the relationship between different generations, portraying a conversation through music between the brothers, reflecting on the bond between grandchildren and grandparents.
Barbara’s upcoming EP launch follows their selection by Neil Hannon to tour with The Divine Comedy and their fourteen-show run supporting Haircut One Hundred. As they tour with Paul Weller and gear up for their headline tour in November 2024, the band is eager to connect with fans on the road.
